Another Haiti Help Med Plus Update!
Work resumed in May on the hospital in Haiti thanks to so many of your kind donations. SCMS member, Dr. Ralph Gousse just updated us again as he was in Haiti this past Saturday (July 4th): "This past Saturday we poured the concrete to cover the operating room and the hallway as you can see in these pictures. When I go again at the end of the month I will try to cover the rest: exam rooms and waiting room. Thanks for your help!" This project is designed to improve the quality of life of a small subset of the Haitian population living around Paillant, 60 miles from the capital Port-au-Prince. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere (over 40% of the population have no healthcare).
