Haiti Help Med Plus – HHMP was organized by SCMS member Ralph Gousse, MD, to improve the quality of life in the back country of Haiti. HHMP is transforming an existing outpatient clinic in Haiti into a 10-bed hospital, complete with maternity, medicine, pediatric, laboratory and radiological services. Click here for information about this project.
The Dr. Luis Perez Scholarship Fund - Every year the Society awards a $2,000 scholarship to a high school student who demonstrates extraordinary scholarship, integrity, and a strong interest in science. Most of the funding for the Scholarship is generated from interest earned from an endowment fund established in honor of Dr. Luis Perez.
