SCMS Quarterly Membership Meetings
The Seminole County Medical Society holds Quarterly Membership Meetings at the Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary, which are the largest recurrent gathering of physicians in Seminole County. The meetings allow members to socialize and network, and typically include a review of the Society’s business and public service activities, a presentation from a legislator, and a valuable educational program. 2009 SCMS meetings are scheduled for February 17, May 19, September 15, and November 17.
These meetings have become an excellent opportunity for medically-related businesses to present information and promote important services to a large group of physicians. To enable businesses to take advantage of this opportunity, the Medical Society has created a SCMS Partner Program. There are two ways to become a SCMS Partner:
Program Partner: $1,500 grant allows a SCMS Partner to give an 8 to10-minute presentation about their services during a quarterly meeting. Program Partners might include hospitals, physician groups, outpatient facilities, or other care-giving organizations. Priority will be given to potential Program Partners located in Seminole County and SCMS members or groups.
Exhibit Tables: The Medical Society makes up to five exhibit tables available at each Quarterly Membership Meeting, with time allotted for physicians to visit the tables. The cost of a table is $500 per meeting. Exhibitors are limited to one table per meeting, but may reserve more than one date.

SCMS Office Manager Luncheons
SCMS has scheduled four Office Manager Luncheons in 2009. These Luncheons are complimentary, and designed for SCMS office managers to interact, share experiences, and provide updates on important and relevant topics. Luncheons will be held from 11:30 AM to 1 PM in Classroom 103 in the Physician Office Building next to South Seminole Hospital in Longwood on January 20, April 15, August 19, and October 21.
The Medical Society makes two exhibit tables available at each Office Manager Luncheon, with time allotted for office managers to visit the tables. The cost of a table is $500 per Luncheon. Exhibitors are limited to one table per Luncheon, but may reserve more than one date.

The Medical Society values its relationship with its SCMS Partners, and is determined to extend the benefits of partnership beyond a single sponsored event. In exchange for a Partner’s support, the Society pledges:
- to encourage physicians or office managers to visit exhibit tables
- to acknowledge the Partner on the SCMS website
- to encourage members to increase office access to a Partner’s representative
- to encourage our members to participate in other Partner-sponsored events
- to give 2009 Partners the first option to be a Partner at our 2010 meetings
